What does a maintenance visit actually include?
Every scheduled visit covers a full inspection of your elevator’s mechanical and electrical components, operational testing of all safety devices, door operator inspection and adjustment, ride quality and leveling assessment, and lubrication of applicable components. Your technician will also document observations from the visit so you have a record of your elevator’s condition over time.
Will I get faster service if I’m on a maintenance plan?
Yes. Maintenance agreement customers receive priority scheduling over non-agreement customers. If you need a service call between your scheduled visits, you move to the front of the line.
Does a maintenance plan satisfy my elevator’s warranty requirements?
It does. Both the Annual and Bi-Annual plans fulfill the recommended maintenance requirement referenced in the manufacturer’s warranty and maintenance notice. Keeping your maintenance current helps protect your warranty coverage and gives you documentation that routine care was performed.
What if the technician finds something that needs to be repaired during the visit?
Preventative maintenance visits are inspections — they are not open-ended repair authorizations. If a technician identifies a repair need, it will be clearly explained to you and quoted separately before any work is done. You stay in control of what gets approved and what it costs.
