Concord Elevator Service & Repair in San Diego & Orange County
Concord Is Now Part of Savaria
Concord elevators: now part of Savaria, still serviceable here
If your home elevator says Concord, you own a brand that no longer operates on its own. Concord is now part of Savaria, and parts and service for Concord units flow through Savaria. Advantage Elevator is a Savaria Elite dealer, which means we deal with that supply chain every week, and we repair Concord elevators in homes across San Diego and Orange County.
Savaria’s own corporate history lists two Concord deals. It signed a letter of intent in May 2005 for Concord Elevator Inc., which brought it into luxury residential elevators. In February 2010 it acquired Concord Elevator (London) Ltd., a company founded in 1996, which now operates as Savaria Ontario. We have not confirmed whether those are the same company, so we describe them as Savaria describes them.
- Savaria Elite dealer, so we work with the company that now stands behind Concord

- 24/7 emergency service across both counties
- 4.9-star rating across more than 300 Google reviews

Who Concord was and what happened to it
Savaria describes the Concord acquisitions as its entry into luxury residential elevators. The Savaria-owned Ontario office, which handles service and parts for Concord, is the successor to the London, Ontario company, per Savaria’s own dealer listing.
The Concord name still appears in Savaria’s records. Health Canada’s recall notice for Savaria elevators lists “Savaria Concord” among the affected names, alongside Infinity and Eclipse. We say this plainly because owners often assume the brand disappeared and took its history with it. It did not. The paperwork lives on at Savaria.
Product lines and drive types we see
Dealer literature associates Concord with the hydraulic Infinity and with Orion, a commercial-style cable-hydraulic elevator used in some larger homes, and with early versions of the Eclipse. We have not confirmed an exact production history for each, so on the first visit our technician identifies the unit by its data plate and controller instead of assuming from the cabinet.
The hydraulic units use a pump and motor, a control valve and a jack. When they fail, the cause is usually a worn valve, a seal that has started to leak, a door interlock, or an aging control board.
Safety notice: the Savaria child-entrapment recall
There was no separate Concord recall that we have found, but Concord-branded units may fall under the Savaria recall, because Health Canada lists “Savaria Concord” among the affected names. On January 11, 2022, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of about 19,500 Savaria residential elevators in the United States, covering the Eclipse, Infinity, Kwiklift, MR and HR models made between 1999 and 2021.
The hazard is a gap between the hoistway door and the car door or gate, where a young child can become trapped. The remedy is a free space guard supplied by Savaria. Savaria’s recall line is 855-983-5520, and its recall site is home-elevator-door-gap.com. If you own a Concord elevator, call us or Savaria and have the unit checked. We would rather you confirm than assume.
Parts for Concord elevators
Savaria Ontario is the official source for service and parts on Concord units. For common items such as switches, relays, contactors and door operators, we can usually source the part or a compatible replacement. For older components such as the original control board, we cannot promise a factory part exists. We tell you what is available, how long it takes, and whether a modern replacement makes more sense, before you approve any work.
Modernization options
A Concord hoistway, guide rails and jack usually outlast the electronics. A modernization can replace the controller, update the door operator and car gate, upgrade the lighting and refresh the cab. Read more on our San Diego modernization and Orange County modernization pages. If you are weighing a full replacement, we can quote current Savaria elevators too.
Nameplate and booking
Our technician locates the data plate on the first visit, so you do not need to hunt for it. Our brand identification guide lists general places to look. Call (833) 865-7887 or use online booking. Tell us what the elevator is doing, and say so first if someone is trapped.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Concord still in business?
Not as an independent company. Concord is now part of Savaria, and parts and service flow through Savaria. We are a Savaria Elite dealer and we service Concord elevators.
Can you get parts for my Concord elevator?
Usually for common wear items, and we source through Savaria. For older components we cannot promise a factory part, and we tell you the options and lead time before you approve work.
Is my Concord elevator part of a recall?
We have found no separate Concord recall. Health Canada lists Savaria Concord among the names affected by the Savaria recall, so we recommend having the unit checked. The free remedy is a space guard supplied by Savaria.
Should I repair or modernize an older Concord?
Repair first if the problem is a single part. Consider modernization when the control board, door operator or drive keeps failing. The hoistway and frame rarely need replacing.
Do you service Concord elevators you did not install?
Yes. Many of our Concord calls are for units installed years ago by dealers who are no longer around.
