Savaria Multilift Platform Lift in San Diego & Orange County, CA
Screw Drive, Short Rise, 15-Amp Power
The Savaria Multilift: a short-rise lift on an ordinary circuit
The Savaria Multilift is a vertical platform lift driven by an ACME screw and a 1 horsepower motor. It is rated for 750 pounds, rises 48 inches as standard (72 inches optional) and runs on a dedicated 120-volt, 15-amp circuit. That makes it a natural fit for the short rises that show up all over Southern California homes: a raised front entry, a step up to a deck, or a single flight between a garage and the house.
It comes in three versions on one Savaria page: Standard, Enclosure and Mobile. We are a Savaria Elite dealer, and we measure, quote, install and service the Multilift from our Carlsbad and Costa Mesa offices. Pricing is quoted after a free in-home measure.

Screw drive versus hydraulic
The Multilift lifts with a threaded screw rather than hydraulic oil. That has three practical effects. The lift is slower than the V-1504, at 8 feet per minute, which is fine for a rise of a few feet. It needs only a 15-amp circuit, which many panels can supply without an upgrade. And there is no oil or pump unit to site, which can simplify a tight install.
If your rise is more than a few feet, if you want an enclosed finished lift, or if the rider needs the fastest ride, look at the V-1504. If the lift will serve a staircase, an inclined lift may be the better choice.
Where the Multilift fits Southern California homes
Raised entries. A porch three or four steps above the walkway is common on older homes in Point Loma, Oceanside, Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach. A Standard Multilift replaces the steps with a platform that fits a porch corner.
Garage to living level. Many 1970s split-level homes have a short rise from a garage or lower entry to the kitchen. A Multilift on a 15-amp circuit handles that.
Decks and pool areas. A raised deck, a terrace or a pool deck is a typical outdoor job. Because the lift can live outdoors, we plan a pad, drainage and a weather cover with you.
Accessory units. A guest unit or converted garage with a raised floor can use the same short-rise lift.
If you are within a mile or two of the ocean, ask us about an enclosure and a tighter inspection schedule, because salt air is hard on exposed metal and electrical parts.
Installation, permits and service
We start with a free measure of the rise and the landing space at both levels. We find where the dedicated circuit will come from and check the surface under the lift. We then give you a written quote for the version that fits.
We coordinate the building permit with your city and schedule the inspection. We do not promise a permit outcome.
We install from Carlsbad in San Diego County and from Costa Mesa in Orange County. After install, our maintenance plan covers inspection and safety-device testing, and it satisfies the maintenance requirement in the manufacturer warranty. For a breakdown, call (833) 865-7887 any hour.
Frequently Asked Questions
How high can the Multilift go?
The standard travel is 48 inches, with 72 inches optional. Savaria also lists a 60-inch deck lift version. Anything taller should be compared with the V-1504 or an elevator.
What power does the Multilift need?
A dedicated 120-volt, 15-amp circuit. We check your panel on the measure and tell you if a new circuit is needed.
Can the Multilift be used outdoors?
Savaria lists the Multilift for indoor and outdoor use. We plan a pad, drainage and a cover with you, and near the coast we recommend an enclosure.
What is the Mobile version for?
It is a portable lift with locking wheels that rises up to 4 feet, built for temporary use such as stages and events. For a home entry we install the Standard or Enclosure.
Do you service Multilift lifts we did not install?
Yes. We service Savaria platform lifts and every major home elevator brand.
